P-248 Application for Concealed Handgun Permit (complete and submit to the Circuit Court in the jurisdiction where you reside).

Any person 21 years of age or older may apply in writing to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the County or City in which he or she resides, or if he is a member of the United States Armed Forces, the County or City in which he or she is domiciled, for a five-year permit to carry a concealed handgun.

Proof of competency with a weapon is requred upon filing for your concealed weapon permit. You may submit a copy of the certificate obtained from Hunter's Safety Education.

The filing fee for a concealed weapon permit is $26 and is payable upon filing.
